Chuck Wagon “Express”
Ministry
On some occasions, Jesus was known to provide food for his followers. He
met their tangible needs and set an example for us to follow. When we
provide a meal for someone who is hurting, we have the distinct privilege
of sharing the love of Christ with that person. In Psalm 119:50 David
said “This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your word has revived
me.” Jesus served others with food, but also gave comfort and
encouragement by sharing words from the Father. To follow this
example, we want to do more than just drop food off, we want to offer words
of comfort and encouragement.
If you are in a situation where some temporary meals would help you
recover, please contact the church office and they will get in touch with
the express team.
If you are interested in serving with this ministry please read the
following information.
We have various express teams spread out over our local
areas.
Each team has between 4-6 team members, one being the team
leader.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father
of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our
affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any
affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our
comfort is abundant through Christ.
